Delaware became the first state, outside of Nevada, to accept a legal single-game sports bet on June 5, 2018, beating New Jersey by a few weeks in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s industry-altering PASPA decision. Delaware’s sports betting market is run by its lottery and it operates three retail sportsbooks in the state. Unfortunately, Delaware does NOT offer online sports betting. Despite its quick start, Delaware is a relative afterthought when comparing it to other states who legalized sports betting.
